Who We Are
We are a research lab affiliated to the School of Information Science and Learning Technologie (SISLT) of the University of Missouri – Columbia focusing on the following areas:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)–assisted STEM education
- Mixed-Reality-Based Learning Environments
- Embodied Interactions and Learning
- Learning Games for STEM Subjects and Computational Thinking
- Novel Technologies for Instructions and Learning
Many of our projects have been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). We also conduct interdisciplinary research in collaboration with the Institute of Data Science and Informatics, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (College of Engineering), the Russell D. & Mary B. Shelden Clinical Simulation Center, and the School of Journalism.
Our work has been published in reputable journals such as the British Journal of Educational Technology, Journal of Computer Assisted Learning, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, and Distance Education, among others.
